The Dramatic Representation of “La Pasión” represents before the people of Montilla the drama of the Passion of Jesus Christ, echoing the message of love that originated it, giving life to the characters who intervened in the events of Jerusalem two thousand years ago.

Holy Week
Holy Week has the declaration of tourist interest “Holy Week of Andalusia.” They emphasize in her the Roman Sentence, the Dramatic Representation of “La Pasión”, the Prendimiento of Maundy Thursday and a Good Friday loaded with endless feelings sometimes opposed, that do not leave anyone indifferent. Corpus Christi
Corpus Chisti is a festival of deep Catholic tradition, with documentation dating back to 1554. The celebration of Corpus Christi has the purpose of proclaiming and increasing “faith in the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.” After the celebration of the Mass in the Parroquia de Santiago, the processional exit of La Custodia takes place, carried out in 1809 by the Córdoba silversmith Manuel Aguilar y Guerrero, constituting one of the best examples of Neoclassical silverware .

Aurora´s Day
This festival is related to music. During the closest Saturday to Sunday down to the day of Montilla Saint Patron are raised night rounds and couplets devoted to Virgen de la Aurora are interpreted by groups, choirs and different kinds of musical groups and after they spread serenades and parades at San Francisco Solano Church during the night. At this time of the year, its typical the sale of chestnuts and nuts and eating ‘sopaipas’ at Plaza de la Rosa.

Feria de El Santo
It starts with a proclamation that indicates the start of the fair in honour to St. Francisco Solano (Saint Patron of Montilla). Later, there is a parade in which the music group ‘La Unión’ from Montilla takes part, in addition to ‘giants’ and ‘big heads’. The parade goes by the main streets of Montilla to the fairground where the opening take place with the switching on of the lights. After the inauguration, inhabitants can enjoy the best atmosphere, music and wine.

"Virgen de las Viñas" Pilgrimage
‘La Merced’ place is the starting point for hundred of neighbours accompanying Nuestra Señora de las Viñas. As every year, the procession of horse-drivers, amazonas and floats headed by the image of the virgin goes through ‘la zarza’ path to Tierno Galván Park. Once there, hundred of people take part at the pilgrimage, reunited with their family and friends.
