The main religious event, which has to be highlighted is Holy Week which has been declared of Touristic Interest 'Holy Week of Andalusia'. During this event we must highlight the 'Sentencia Romana', the dramatic play of the 'The Passion', 'The Capture' on Maundy Thursday and the Good Friday full of endless and opposing emotions that cannot let anyone indifferent.Without forgetting the flavours of the Holy Week: fried cod and sweets as 'pestiños' or 'flores' among other delicious dishes.

Vitis Dei Route

This route covers all the places that inspired our Doctor of the Church. We will visit his house-oratory or the Basilica, holy temple where his mortal remains are kept.

Route of St. Francisco Solano

This route allows us to visit the places along which the Saint Patron of Montilla usually walk, see many of his relics and memories, as well as watching a documentary about his live and his work.

HOLY WEEK

Montilla's Holy Week has been declared of Touristic Interest 'Semana Santa de Andalucia', it is a tradition which combine religion, popular and mundane culture.
